LOT 16
British School (early 19th century) - Group portrait of three young ladies: Elizabeth, Rosa and Augusta Spottiswoode, before Spottiswoode House; Group portrait of two young men, William Spottiswoode b.1825 and George Spottiswoode b.1827, a pair, oil on canvas, each 43cm x 33cm, within foliate gilt plaster frames (2). Note: the children depicted are the grandchildren of John Spottiswoode (b.1741). Spottiswoode House was demolished in 1938. William Spottiswoode (1825-1883) is buried in Westminster Abbey.
