A 19th century French Palais-Royal gilt metal mounted sewing nécessaire, formed as two books, detailed to the front ‘Souvenir’, the lid interior fitted with a mirror, the mostly mother-of-pearl fittings comprising a needle case, a thimble, a pair of scissors, a needle work spike, a glass scent bottle, a cotton threader and two needles, the majority bearing the enamelled pansy mark, length of case 10.5cm.
