An extremely rare late 19th century Bradbury Wilkinson & Co engraved copper large format die plate for an Italy one hundred lire advertising banknote, detailed 'La Banca Irlanda, Specimen Bank Note' and dated 'London 1o Gennaio 1880', with central portrait vignette of a classical young maiden wearing laurel crown, values '100' to the corners, height 13.5cm, width 27cm, together with a test strike from the same plate (environmental staining and discolouration, otherwise good/very fine).
