(Toning.) Original green cloth (lightly bumped extremities), dust-jacket (extremities chipped, losses to spine panel ends, ‘Northanger Abbey’ dust-jacket in two parts, loss to half of spine panel). Note: ‘Pride and Prejudice’ is the second impression of 1940. Provenance: May B. Peel (ink name to front-free endpapers, dated 1941) (5).
