LOT 1130
A Victorian mahogany bracket clock, the eight day triple fusee movement striking hours on a gong and chiming quarters on a nest of eight bells, the backplate signed 'John Moore & Sons, Clerkenwell, London 11470', the 8-inch brass arched dial with strike/silent indicator above black Roman hour numerals, the gothic arched case with urn surmount above pierced fret panels and cluster columns, on a rectangular base and bun feet, height 66cm (some faults), with pendulum (suspension spring missing), and a winder. Note: the renowned company of John Moore & Sons are recorded London clockmakers located at 38-39 Clerkenwell Close between 1829 and 1900.
