Ian Potts (British, 1936-2014) - ‘Valley of the Kings, Egypt', watercolour, signed and titled lower left, 24cm x 33cm, together with another watercolour by the same hand, ‘At the Beach’, both within oak frames. Note: Ian Potts was a distinguished British watercolourist and head of painting at Brighton University. A long-time educator, Potts mentored generations of artists including Turner Prize winner Rachel Whiteread. Represented in public collections including the V&A and the Arts Council, Potts exhibited widely throughout Britain and Europe.
