A collection of military medals and ephemera relating to the Cardwell family, comprising a photograph album and related paperwork belonging to 10142 Sgt. Major J.W. Cardwell, Royal Army Medical Corps, showing he served in South Africa 1899-1902, the album with a quantity of annotated photographs, mainly Gibraltar and Malta area, showing soldiers and hospital and local views, together with a small group of items relating to his son Harry Cardwell, including some wartime and post-war photographs, a Second World War period German Morse key and headset, and a group of medals, comprising War Medal, Italy Star and 1939-45 Star, boxed.
