LOT 77
Edward Seago (British 1910-1974) - 'South Bay Quay, Singapore', watercolour, inscribed on labels verso, 26.5cm x 36.5cm, within a gilt frame. Provenance: reputedly from Colnaghi & Company, Old Bond Street, London, c. November 20th 1958. Note: Seago visited Singapore on a trip with the Duke of Edinburgh aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia in 1956-57, and painted scenes of South Bay Quay in Singapore, which has since been redeveloped. He also visited Singapore during his tour of Hong Kong, Burma and Bangkok in 1962.
