Circle of John Hoppner (British 1758-1810) - Half-length portrait of the Rev. Robert Nares, wearing a white collar and black gown, oil on canvas, 76.5cm x 64cm, within a gilt composition frame of leaf and shell design, of deep section. Provenance: by descent through the family of the sitter. Note: the sitter was the first Archdeacon of Stafford.
