A Royal Doulton stoneware jug, decorated by Mark V. Marshall and Bessie Newbery, monogrammed, the ovoid body with a blue glazed smiling face to one side and a blue glazed grumpy or cross face to the other side, against a brown glazed ground incised with green glazed scrolling foliage, impressed and incised marks to base, height 16.5cm (cracked).
