A late 19th century French engraved gilt brass oval cased carriage alarm clock by Drocourt, the eight day movement with platform escapement striking hours, half hours and alarm on a gong, with push repeat mechanism, the backplate with stamped maker's mark and numbered '7707', the white enamelled dial with black Roman hour and outer Arabic minute numerals above a subsidiary alarm dial, all framed by a foliate scroll engraved gilt surround, the oval case finely engraved with foliate scrolls, the swing scroll handle above bevelled glass panels, on a moulded base, height 17cm, with winding key.
