A late 19th century gilt lacquered brass binocular microscope, signed 'J.H. Steward 406 Strand', with rack and pinion focusing, fine focusing, circular rotating stage and plano-concave mirror, on a signed triform base, unextended height 44.5cm, within a fitted mahogany case with accessories, including gilt brass bullseye condenser lens, objectives in matching signed 'J.H. Steward' cases, four eyepieces, frog plate, scissors, tweezers and scalpels.
