Note: inscribed on the front pastedown by Lord Wakefield, formerly Lord Mayor of London, who wrote the ‘Foreword’ to book. He also gave the original manuscript of the ‘Great Chronicle...’ to the Library Committee of the Corporation of the City of London. Provenance: A.C.
