MANUSCRIPT. [A hand-written transcription of litigation relating to a ‘Decree of Reduction’ between two members of a Scottish family. Edinburgh: n.p.: 1763.] 230pp., manuscript, tall 4to (320 x 187mm.) 115 leaves in a single legible hand outlining the legal proceedings between ‘William McCullock’ and ‘McCullock of Chang and Others’. (Some chipping to margins, toning.) Original wrappers, string-bound (creasing and chipping to extremities). Note: densely written and convoluted litigations of a court-room battle regarding wills, bequests, lands, creditors and debts. Possibly a branch of the ancient Galloway family, the McCullochs. – And a small quantity of approximately twenty-five 18th and early 19th century deeds, mainly Scottish, including one in Latin from 1575 (small quantity).
