MANUSCRIPT. Historia Universa et Supplemin Parenesim. [A hand-written chronicle in Latin. N.p.: circa 1650.] 284pp., manuscript, 8vo (268 x 196mm.) A single mostly legible hand in brown ink on numbered leaves writing in Latin, some annotations and crossing-out. (Heavily damp-stained, many loose leaves.) Near contemporary vellum with ties, manuscript lettering to spine (damp-stained, especially to lower cover), contained within a later black morocco case (worn). Note: most likely a chronicle of recent history starting from around 1530. Note: the Alteri family line became extinct in 1955. Its point of highest influence in Rome and Venice was possibly in the mid-17th century. Provenance: Prince Altieri (gilt lettering to case).
