N.p.:] 1807-1809. 118pp., manuscript, tall 4to (314 x 194mm.) 118pp. hand-written entries in a single legible hand, comprising expenditure on goods and services, but mostly wages with weekly totals, 26pp. blank. (Toning, finger-marked, some chipping.) Contemporary vellum, manuscript lettering to upper cover (discoloured and stained). Note: there are typical farm expenses (‘four loads of stones’), and several regular employees (‘Paid Franklin for Binding’). In the summer months the employee list doubles in length, often including female relatives of the employees.
