Alexander James Mavrogordato (British 1869-1947) - ‘An Arab Boy Attendant with a Donkey’, watercolour, signed and dated ’97 lower left, inscribed verso, 24.5cm x 34cm, within a gilt frame. Note: although Mavrogordato was a prolific exhibitor in London and the provinces, surprisingly little biographical information exists about this talented artist. He had one-man exhibitions at the Fine Art Society of his continental topographical views.
