A Paris parcel gilt and bisque porcelain inkstand, early to mid 19th century, modelled as Old Father Time seated in a boat being steered by Cupid, a small gilt and white jug and a vase between them being the inkwell and pen holder, the boat itself with patterned gilt exterior and swan’s head bow, raised on an oval base moulded with flower and mask detail against a gilt ground with vermicular decoration, gilt painted mark to base, height 18.5cm (restored).
