LOT 1189
A late 19th century French walnut and gilt metal mounted fountain clock, the eight day movement with platform escapement, the backplate stamped 'E.G.L', the white enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals and detailed 'H.W. Bedford & Compy LD 105, Regent Street London', the case with turned finials above turned and fluted columns, the front with gilt metal lion mask issuing a spiralled glass 'water' rod above a gilt metal scallop shell, on a moulded plinth base and bracket feet, height 43.5cm.
