English School (19th century) - Portrait miniature of a lady, watercolour on ivory, oval, 7.5cm x 6cm, within a gilt composition frame. Provenance: from the estate of the late Raymond Briggs, the world-renowned author and illustrator of The Snowman, Father Christmas and Fungus The Bogeyman. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item.
