A Red Ashay satin glass car mascot, moulded in the form of a bird, mounted to its chromium plated illuminating base and a hardstone plinth, total height 15.8cm. Note: Red Ashay mascots were made for H.G. Ascher Ltd of Manchester and London, by the Reidel Glass Works in Czechoslovakia. H.G. Ascher first marketed these mascots as ‘Red Ashay’ in 1930 and they were finally taken off the market in 1952, when H.G. Ascher closed.
