A Victorian 1796 pattern officer's dress sword by Hawkes of London, Manufacturers to the Queen, with single-edged fullered blade, blade length 88.5cm, gilt cast brass half-clamshell guard and knuckle bow, and white metal wire bound grip, with gilt brass mounted stitched leather scabbard, fitted with a hook (losses to grip wire, scabbard chape lacking, some evidence of poor cleaning of blade in the past).
