A fine early 20th century Bowie/RBD knife by Wilkinson, with single-edged clip-point blade, blade length 20cm, the blade edge unusually with jimping or notching, etched with royal crest and detailed 'By Royal Warrant Sword Cutlers to the King', 'Wilkinson London & Sheffield', 'By Special Appointment to the Prince of Wales' and 'Finest Sword Steel', the ricasso marked 'Wilkinson London & Sheffield' and 'Finest Sword Steel', nickel crossguard, staghorn grip and nickel pommel cap, with stitched leather sheath. Note: a similar pattern appears in 'The London Knife Book' by Ron Flook, page 218, plate 218, listed as a variant of an RBD knife.
