An early 19th century French sapper's 'rooster head' sword with curved single-edged blade, blade length 91.5cm, the spine indistinctly detailed and dated 1836, cast brass guard with lion mask decoration and plain one-piece grip with heavy cast and chased cockerel head pommel, with steel scabbard with single suspension ring.
