A Swiss-made 'Aeroplane Spitfire' chrome plated stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch, circa 1940, the dial with Arabic hour numerals and subsidiary seconds, the backplate engraved 'Laurie from Adela 8.10.1940', on a later leather strap, together with a celluloid-fronted tin Spitfire Fund charity pin badge, numbered '17053'.
