A Soviet military cockpit chronometer, probably from a Russian MiG or Su aircraft, the black dial with Arabic hour numerals, centre stop seconds and two subsidiary dials, case diameter 8.4cm, together with a Waltham US Navy Bu Aero black enamelled cased cockpit timepiece, the signed black dial with luminous Arabic numerals, inner date dial and centre seconds, detailed '8 days Civil Date', cased width 8.2cm. Note: the Waltham Civil Date indicator timepiece were standard for many Second World War period US Navy aircraft, including the Grumman and Eastern Aircraft TBF and TBM Avenger torpedo bombers, Consolidated PBY flying boat and amphibious aircraft and the Martin PBM Mariner patrol bomber flying boat.
