A collection of approximately four hundred and thirty-eight microscope specimen slides, mostly Victorian and later, including entomological, diatomaceous, botanical, geological, marine, zoological and biological, many with printed paper labels and some paper wrapped, including C.M. Topping, Arthur Cole with 1867 Paris prize medal labels, Arthur J. Doherty of Manchester, W. Watson & Sons, C.B. Crawshaw, Fred Enock, E. Bryan of Manchester, George Wilks and Edmund Wheeler, all housed within a late Victorian mahogany specimen chest of twenty-two drawers, enclosed by a glazed door, height 41.7cm.
