Numerous entries in ink, a single legible hand relating the date, the detail of the job, and price paid. (Some dust-soiling.) Contemporary vellum and brown cloth (soiled, bumped, scuffing to covers). Note: each job is given one line of practical information: the delivery or disposal of something from one place to another. This means many roads in Brighton, Hove and Portslade are referenced as well as ‘Roedean’, ‘Grand Hotel’, ‘Wrens’, ‘King Alfred’, and ‘Dreadnought’ (garage?). The entries covering the war years are interesting. There are many jobs referring to the clearing away of rubble and glass (2).
