LOT 1510
A complete run of Pilkington’s annual calendar tiles, dated 1954 to 2010, a mixture of screen and transfer printed, each tile 15.3cm square (tile dated 1956 missing but no examples have been found to exist), together with the publication 'Pilkington’s Calendar and Promotional Tiles 1953 to 2010', a 20th Anniversary special publication from Pilkington’s Lancastrian Pottery Society, written by Chris Blanchett. Note: the lot includes more than one version of the calendar tile for some years. Pilkington’s purchased Carter Tiles in 1965 and after this date sometimes more than one tile was produced incorporating one or both company names/logos. Provenance: Blanchett Collection.
