A large quantity of H & R Johnson dust pressed screen-printed tiles, designed by Eleanor Greeves, approximately two hundred and eighty, in a variety of mostly floral designs and a number of colourways, including the following patterns, Vetch, Buttercup, Buddleia, Celandine, Columbine, Knot Garden and Rose, each approx 11cm square. Note: Eleanor Greeves was an architect, artist and ceramic tile designer. She was born on June 15, 1924, and died on February 4, 2015. She had a great love of botany and art and used these to become a gifted designer of ceramic tiles. She was involved alongside her husband in saving many buildings from large development projects in Bedford Park, West London. As a result of their efforts and the formation of the Bedford Park Society, this part of London was preserved and many of its early buildings are now listed. Provenance: Blanchett Collection.
