Two relief moulded portrait tiles designed by George Cartlidge, circa 1905, the first depicting Field Marshall Sir Douglas Haig, after a photograph by Elliot & Fry Ltd, by J.H. Barratt, the second by Sherwin & Cotton depicting a well-dressed lady, both 23cm by 15cm, together with four photographic tiles by the Photo Decorated Tile Co. depicting named topographical views, another Photo Decorated Tile Co. tile depicting 'Milking Time' after Landseer, three others depicting Classical statues of female nudes, and a small group of other tiles printed or painted with views or scenes, including four designed by John White printed in blue with named London landmarks. Provenance: Blanchett Collection.
