An ancient Egyptian Hyksos steatite scarab seal, circa 1650-1550 BC, with clypeus, prothorax and elytra marked by single lines, the underside carved with a central ankh within a cartouche, length 1.6cm, together with a hard wax impression of the design. Provenance: from the Gustave Mustaki collection, a collector of antiquities who amassed a large collection in Alexandria (Egypt) in the early 20th century.
