LOT 1109
A Sindh gilt foliate brocade serai topi hat, late 19th/early 20th century, of cylindrical shape with flat circular top with yellow, red and black panelled front, height 15cm, diameter of top 28cm, the fitted tin case with hinged lid. Note: Sindhi topi or serai topi hats were common throughout the 19th century, initially monopolized by rulers, dignitaries and government officials, but later their wear became more commonplace.
