LOT 1177
An early 19th century Irish mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch circular painted dial with black Roman hour numerals and subsidiary seconds and inscribed 'Thos Fairclough, DUBLIN', the hood with arched surmount and brass ball finial, the trunk with cut corners and arch top door, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 208cm, with pendulum and two weights. Note: Thomas Fairclough is a recorded Irish clockmaker working in Dublin, circa 1824.
