A collection of five hundred and three microscope specimen slides, mostly Victorian, including botanical, biological, cytological, diatomaceous, entomological, histological and zoological, the majority with printed paper labels and some paper wrapped, including Abraham Flatters of Manchester, J. Boggust of Alton, M. Pillischer of London, Smith, Beck & Beck, HWH Darlaston, Arthur Cole with 1867 Paris prize medal labels, Bourgogne of Paris, C. Coppock and W.F. Stanley with Cole labels, all housed within a Victorian mahogany specimen chest of twenty-one drawers, enclosed by a pair of glazed doors, height 43cm.
