A large Richard Batterham studio pottery stoneware vase, the ovoid body of gentle square shape, covered to the foot in an ash glaze, the neck with concentric line detail, unmarked, height 36cm. Provenance: from the personal collection of the ceramic artist, the late Eric James Mellon (1925-2014).
