Fourth edition, 12mo (164 x 95mm.) Engraved frontispiece, 2 plates on 1 sheet. (Light browning.) Contemporary calf, later morocco lettering piece (rebacked, wear to extremities). Provenance: Denis Gibbs (bookplate to front pastedown). – And a related volume (Robert Jackson’s ‘An Exposition of the Practice of Affusing Cold Water on the Surface of the Body, as a Remedy for the Cure of Fever’, 1808, 8vo) (2).
