A late 20th century Soviet 1952 pattern naval officer's dress dagger with straight double-edged blade, blade length 21.5cm, the ricasso marked 'BYNAM' and dated '1984', gilt metal S-shaped crossguard, spring-button scabbard release, square composite grip and gilt metal collar and pommel, with leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts and twin suspension rings, and original dress belt and hangers.
