An 1821 pattern officer's dress sword by Davies & Son, Hanover Street, Hanover Square, London, with slightly curved single-edged fullered blade, blade length 89.5cm, etched with foliate decoration and detailed with crowned 'VR' cypher and personalized crest and motto 'Virtus Sibi Munus', steel triple-bar hilt and wire bound fishskin grip, with steel scabbard (environmental issues throughout, active rust, some losses).
