A fine late 19th century Scottish Highlander's dirk and sgian dubh by R. & H.B. Kirkwood, 66 & 68 Thistle Street, Edinburgh, the dirk with single-edged fullered blade, blade length 26cm, finely carved ebonized or bog oak handle with traditional basketweave design, silver mount, silver studs and silver and foil-backed Cairngorm quartz pommel, with fine black leather scabbard with silver mounts, detailed with the badge of the Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) and thistles, Edinburgh 1883, fitted with utility knife and fork, both with silver and foil-backed Cairngorm quartz finials, the accompanying sgian dubh with single-edged blade, blade length 10.25cm, silver mounted and studded carved ebonized or bog oak handle with applied silver badge of the Royal Scots, and silver and foil-backed Cairngorm quartz pommel, with silver mounted black leather sheath, both within original black leather finished and blue fabric lined fitted case, together with a dress uniform, comprising jacket and waistcoat by Scott Adie, 115 & 115A Regent Street, London, each with lozenge-form buttons by Firmin bearing crest and motto 'Tìr nan Beann, nan Gleann, 's nan Gaisgeach' (The land of the mountains, the glens, and the heroes), tam o' shanter, Glengarry bearing white metal clan brooch, detailed with a bird holding a fruiting branch and motto 'Salus per Christum' (Salvation through Christ), horse hair sporran with plated mounts, tartan scarf, kilt, undershorts, lace neck piece and a group of shirts, all within a black finished tin trunk (a rare offering, generally very good condition throughout, some environmental issues to exterior of trunk).
