A Victorian percussion saddle-ring carbine with front and rear-sighted round barrel, barrel length 53.5cm, and shaped lock, stamped with crowned 'V.R' and date '1859', full-stocked with brass furniture, the stock with button mount, stamped 'Excise & Salt.D. 22', and pull-out steel swing-over ramrod (action works at half and full cock, patch repair at lower tip of stock), together with a further associated steel ramrod.
