LOT 4180
A 1914-15 Star to ‘Lieut.E.G.J.Humbert R.Berks.R.’ and a 1914-18 British War Medal and a 1914-19 Victory Medal to ‘Lieut.E.G.J.Humbert.’, a 1914-18 British War Medal and a 1914-19 Victory Medal with MiD spray to ‘Lieut.O.J.Humbert’ (correction to the naming on the Victory Medal), and a group of five Second World War medals, comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star with bar ‘8th Army’, Italy Star, Defence Medal and War Medal, displayed in a glazed oak frame, detailed at the back ‘M.O.A. Humbert’. Note: Lieutenant Ernest Humbert died on 8th June 1915, aged 27, and is commemorated at the Lancashire Landing Cemetery, Turkey. Captain Malcom Humbert served with the Royal Artillery/The East Surrey Regiment, died on 21st January 1944, aged 29, and is commemorated at the Minturno War Cemetery Italy, son of Owen Johnston Humbert.
