A Chinese silk embroidered civil rank badge, seventh rank, late Qing dynasty, worked in coloured threads with a Mandarin duck perched on a rock amidst bats, vapours and flowers, above crashing waves, on a brown ground, within an embroidered surround of pavilions, trees and flowers on a cream ground, 41cm x 41cm, framed and glazed. Provenance: the property of a West Sussex lady collector.
