A Chinese silk embroidered child's festival hat, early 20th century, worked in coloured threads with lotus petal panels of flowers, insects and reptiles on a red ground, beneath a lotus petal surmount enclosing a child, the front with blue, cream and gilt lotus design, hung with tassels, width 17cm. Provenance: the property of a West Sussex lady collector.
