A W. Schiller (& Sohn) Bodenbach majolica centrepiece, late 19th century, the shell shaped dish top with turquoise glaze and an open mouthed animal to one end, raised on a stem formed from brown glazed foliate scrolls emerging from the body of a griffin surmounted on further foliate scrolls and a green/blue glazed oval base, applied pad mark to base and impressed shape No. 4961, height 39cm (some faults and repairs).
