A pair of late Victorian Gothic Revival oak framed side chairs by Gillows of Lancaster, the design attributed to Charles Bevan, the rounded top rails with beaded terminals, the pegged 'X' framed supports with brass mounts and castors to the front legs, stamped marks to seat rails, height 95cm, width 43cm, depth 60cm. Note: for a similar design see Lyon & Turnbull, Design Since 1860, 16th October, Lot 162.
