A collection of Chinese Canton export mother-of-pearl gaming counters, mid to late 19th century, including a part harlequin set decorated with incised pagoda panel, comprising eighty-three elliptical, lengths ranging from 4cm to 4.7cm, thirty-one oval, lengths 3cm to 3.5cm, twenty-six circular, diameter 2.7cm, and twenty-one smaller circular, diameter 2.2cm, a group of others incised with figures in village scenes to one side and bird and insect crests to other, comprising forty circular, diameter 2.7cm, seventy-five slender rectangular, 1.7cm x 4.8cm, and twenty-three rectangular, 2.1cm x 3cm, and twenty-one variously decorated elliptical.
