A North Indian grey schist stone lingam, probably 20th century, of upright phallus form, length 16cm, on a black painted rectangular wooden plinth. Provenance: the Alain Presencer Collection.

A Tibetan tantric brown patinated bronze figure of a deity, 19th century, the horned beast with raised hair, modelled in an aggressive pose with right arm and claw raised, seated upon a prostrate pig, on a lotus moulded oval base, height 22cm. Provenance: the Alain Presencer Collection.

A Tibetan gilt bronze figure of a Buddhist monk, 15th century, modelled seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, the reverse incised with a prayer, height 6.7cm. Provenance: the Alain Presencer Collection.

A Chinese hand painted bangu drum, early 20th century, the flattened barrel shaped drum with lacquered wood sides, fitted with a pair of iron loop handles, each end applied with a hide secured with iron studs, one side painted with a dragon, the other side with a phoenix, height 9.5cm, diameter 23cm. A Tibetan damaru drum, 20th century, the double-sided stained wooden drum with stretched leather covers, the central band applied with cowrie shells and hung with a silk brocade banner and tassels, drum diameter 23.1cm, with silk embroidered case. Provenance: the Alain Presencer Collection.

A Tibetan bone disc mala rosary, comprising one hundred and eight irregular disc beads and a spacer bead, length 37cm, bead diameters approx 1.7cm, together with a similar bone disc bead necklace, comprising one hundred and six irregular disc beads and spacer beads, length 61cm, bead diameters 1.8cm. A Tibetan brown patinated bronze figure of Padmasambhava, 16th century, modelled seated on a lotus throne, wearing a long robe, holding a vajra in his right hand and a bowl in his left, his face with gilt and blue detail, height 18cm. Provenance: the Alain Presencer Collection and Bonhams Hong Kong, 2nd October 2018, Lot 141. Note: Padmasambhava is revered as the leading propagator of tantric Buddhism in Tibet during the 8th century. He is believed to have travelled from India to Tibet at the invitation of King Trisong Detsen, and there founded the Nyingma Order of Tibetan Buddhism.
