A 1796 pattern light cavalry officer's sword with curved single edged blade with clipped back tip, length approx 79cm, etched with trophies of arms, floral and foliate decoration and at forte with 'Fabrica de Carlos Foest & Co. Solingen en Alemanha', steel stirrup hilt, wire bound leather covered grip, in its steel scabbard.
