A pearlware plate with moulded feather edge, late 18th century, painted in blue with a chinoiserie figure in a landscape within a hatched border, diameter 24.5cm, together with a similar plate, painted with a chinoiserie landscape, diameter 24.7cm. Note: a similar plate to the first example is illustrated by Lois Roberts in 'Painted in Blue', published by The Northern Ceramic Society, p.152, fig. 280 c. Provenance: from the collection of Jennifer Moody.
